After 15 months of agonizing over the details of our wedding, everything came together (almost) without a hitch. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite things we did (with a ton of help from my mother) to make “our big day” special and personal.

We found these letterpressed initials by Color Box Design and snatched them right up for the sign in table.
Family wedding photos flanked the table with vintage vases, bird figurines, and, of course, pictures of Olive.

My sweethearts by Ann Wood Handmade, Greta and Marshal. The very first thing I bought for our wedding.
Truly love at first sight.

For over a year, my parents and I scoured antique malls, estate sales, and antique shows searching for cool, kitschy vases.
You’ll our finds throughout these pictures.

The good ol’ Kelsey 5×8 came in handy with the table numbers. I used vintage wood type to letterpress all of the numbers and did the calligraphy to complete the look.

Another vintage vase.

In lei of escort cards, my family came together for a team effort on this one. My dad painted all of the frames, I did the calligraphy, and my mom got the antique “Take a Seat My Dear” piece framed.

My mom and I found a bunch of vintage hankies in our wedding colors and opted to make pillows out of them for the lounge area. I hopped onto the internet and taught myself to embroider then my mom took over and made the pillow. (As well as all of the amazing tablecloths).

My grandmother, Mimi, was an amazing cook and in homage to her we had Lemon Meringue Pies, which we displayed on vintage cake stands. Yum yum.

The vintage typewriter came in handy for the next two. Mr. Essl pitched in and helped type each menu individually on a brown paper sack. I think some typos made their way onto the plates. ;)

A simple stamp, great typewriter lettering and a kraft label finished off our wine favors.
(Truly simple, I made one sheet and copied the rest at Kinko’s)!
